Manage Team Members

Update team member access, status, and staff type.

Manage team members when someone changes role, becomes a provider, or no longer needs access.

Who does this: Clinic administrators.

Steps

Open Settings.

Open Team.

Select Teams.

Use All, Provider, or Support staff to filter the list.

Search for the team member by name or email.

Open the row actions menu and review Manage member.

Update Access role or Person type as needed.

Choose how access should change:

  • Deactivate keeps the membership and turns access off. Use Reactivate to restore it.
  • Remove drops this clinic’s membership only. Existing appointments stay on that provider profile, which is turned off for new booking. Location access history is revoked, not erased. If they have an upcoming visit, the dialog asks you to Deactivate until those visits are clear.
  • On an Invited row, Remove drops the invite so you can send a new one. Cancel invite keeps the row and blocks that email until you change it.

You cannot remove yourself. The last active admin cannot be removed or deactivated. Give someone else the Admin role first.

The team list updates with the member's current status.

Common pitfall: Changing Person type changes the work profile. Changing Access role changes permissions.

Troubleshooting

I cannot change a member. Confirm you have permission to manage the team.

A pending invite should be stopped. Use Cancel invite to keep the row and block that email, or Remove to drop the invite so you can send it again.
