Preview Duplicate Archive Templates

Maintain templates from their list, details, preview, or editor.

Use the existing three-dot menus and detail or editor action icons to maintain reusable content. Icons have action tooltips. Available actions depend on your permissions, the template type, and its status.

Who does this: Clinic administrators.

Steps

Open Settings.

Open Templates.

Choose Forms, Consent Templates, Chart Note Templates, or Intake Packets.

Find the item you want to maintain and open its three-dot menu. You can also open its details or preview and use the actions there.

Select Preview to review the content.

Select Duplicate if you want a copy to edit safely.

Select Archive to remove the item from active use.

Use Archived and select Restore if the item should become available again.

The template library shows the updated item status.

Common pitfall: Delete only when you are sure the item is no longer needed.

System defaults cannot be archived or deleted. An already archived system default can be restored. References and prior use can also prevent deletion.

Editing an archived form, ordinary consent, or intake packet does not restore it. Use Restore separately when it should become available again. Published clinical templates use draft versions instead of direct editing; restore an archived clinical template before creating or continuing a draft.

In an editor, save or discard unsaved changes before using actions that operate on the saved record. Preview and the editor's own save controls continue to work with the current edits.

Troubleshooting

The row action is missing. Confirm you are allowed to manage the template library.

An archived item is still needed. Switch the status filter to Archived, then use Restore.
